The 2015 “Wings over Wayne Air Show” was held in mid-May at Seymour Johnson AFB, North Carolina.

The base was (and still is) home to the 4th Fighter Wing with its F-15E Strike Eagles.

As with any self-respecting USAF air show, the participation of aircraft in static and in-flight displays was massive, making the process of selecting a reasonable number of aircraft and photographs very challenging.

The highlights of the static display were:

B52Hs from the 69th Bomb Squadron “Nighthawks” at Minot AFB, North Dakota

  • B1B Lancer del 28th Bomb Squadron di  Dyess AFB, Texas
  • F15E of the 4th Wing, home to Seymour Johnson AFB
  • F22 del 1st Fighter Wing di Langley AFB, VA
  • E3 Sentry del 964th Airborne Air Control Squadron, 552nd Air Control Wing di Tinker AFB, Oklahoma
  • F/A18F del Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 224 (VMFA-224) “Fighting Bengals”, di MCAS Beaufort, South Carolina
  • T38C of the 80th Flying Training Wing (Air Education and Training Command training) at Sheppard AFB, Texas.
  • T-38As of the 2nd Fighter Training Squadron (aggressor for F-22 pilot training), 325th Fighter Wing at Tyndall AFB, Florida

The air show was opened by the Black Daggers from Fort Bragg, NC.

The selection of in-flight presentations:
